I <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is made and entered into as of <br />the day of , 2010 by and between the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Education (the "Board ") and the City of Concord, Cabarrus County, the Town of <br />Harrisburg, the Town of Mt. Pleasant, the City of Kannapolis, and the Town of Midland <br />(collectively "Local Government "). <br />WHEREAS, the Board operates, and will continue to operate, schools and <br />facilities throughout Cabarrus County ( "School Property "); and <br />WHEREAS, from time to time, employees and agents of Local Government need <br />to visit School Property in the performance of work obligations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board and Local Government wish to set forth policies <br />governing the behavior of Local Government's agents and employees while visiting or <br />working on School Property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Education and the City of <br />Concord, Cabarrus County, the Town of Harrisburg, the Town of Mt. Pleasant, the City <br />of Kannapolis, and the Town of Midland, agree as follows: <br />1. Local Government agents and employees will follow the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Education policies as follows: <br />a. Policy 5025: Alcoholic Beverages <br />The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on <br />school property. <br />b. Policy 5026: Tobacco Products <br />The use of tobacco products is prohibited on school property. <br />c. Policy 5027: Weapons and Explosives <br />The possession of weapons /explosives is prohibited on school <br />property. <br />d. Policy 5022: Registered Sex Offenders <br />Anyone registered under the Sex Offender Program is forbidden on <br />school property. <br />e.
