1 <br />C <br />' PROJECT NO. 09-106 IP BASED VIDEO VISITATION SYSTEM <br />KENT COUNTY CORRECTIONAL REPLACEMENT 284690-3 <br />KENT COUNTY 04130/2010 <br />' I. Provide 30 minute Un- interruptible Power Supply for servers and other computer equipment <br />as detailed in the products section of this specification. <br />m. Provide any materials deemed necessary for a complete job. <br />' n. Contractor shall use trained personnel, employed by contractor for installation for the <br />duration of the installation period and provide a means of remote diagnostics for the period <br />of the warranty. <br />o. Provide training by equipment manufacturer's certified trainers on the basic use of the <br />' equipment and software. <br />p. WS Contractor or approved third party vendor shall develop and present annual software <br />maintenance contract specifying system management parameters, such as rate structures, <br />services performed contract information, support procedures, responsibilities and other <br />' standards terms and conditions. Owner intends to engage in annual contract for system <br />support and maintenance. <br />q. In summary, the successful Contractor will recognize and creatively respond to these needs <br />' in a state -of -the -art system. The Contractor shall visit the site, verify all existing conditions <br />shown on plans, or identified in the specifications, be familiar with the working conditions, <br />hazards, and local requirements involved; submission of bids shall be deemed evidence of <br />such visit. All bids shall take all existing conditions into consideration and the lack of specific <br />' information on the Drawings or Specifications shall not relieve the Contractor of any <br />responsibility for providing a complete and operational WS. <br />0 <br />D. Work Related: <br />1. New Construction at Housing Units L, M H2 and Public Visitation center: Electrical Contractor shall <br />provide one standard back box and conduit stub to nearest accessible ceiling or cable tray for each <br />VVS station. This shall apply to only the low voltage power and signal conduit. IF THE SYSTEM <br />REQUIRES LINE VOLTAGE FEEDS TO THE STATIONS, THE WS CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />INCLUDE ALL ADDITIONAL CONDUIT, BOXES AND WIRING NECESSARY TO PROVIDE LINE <br />VOLTAGE FROM THE VIDEO VISITATION CLOSET OR DEDICATED CHASE RECEPTACLES <br />SHOWN ON THE POWER DRAWINGS. All line voltage power circuits shall be provided at the <br />above closets for the WS Contractor's use. <br />2. Existing Housing Units B, D: and G. Electrical contractor to provide line voltage circuit in nearest <br />accessible IDF or electrical room adjacent to WS Inmate stations. WS contractor to provide <br />transformers and conduit from these locations to individual stations. WS contractor to route <br />signals in accessible ceilings to rack rooms shown on plans, thence to Video Visitation Equipment <br />Room located in Unit A. <br />E. Licenses: <br />I . Provide and maintain all licenses required for the first two years of operation. These shall include <br />as a minimum server licensing, database licensing, client licensing (including visitation stations if <br />applicable), application licensing, etc. <br />2. Provide Owner with an overview of licensing application model (concurrent use, per user, per <br />device, etc.). <br />3. Provide Owner with altematives, /suggestions to reduce costs related to hardware and software <br />licensing (use of virtual servers, etc.) <br />4.
