♦ Chapter Seven Perfonnance Based Standards (PBS) <br />A. Site Plan: An approved site plan is required shoeing the location of all <br />buildings, setbacks and required distances from other structures as <br />described below. <br />B. Site Size: The minimum lot size to have such an operation is three (3) <br />acres. <br />C. Location on Site: The still and/or storage containers shall be placed: <br />• A minimum of sixty (60) feet from any dwelling unit <br />• A minimum of one hundred (100) feet from any street right -of- <br />way or property line. <br />D. General: <br />• The use of ethanol is restricted to use as fuel by the owner or lessee of the <br />property upon which the ethanol is produced. <br />• The sale of ethanol fuel is prohibited. <br />• The ethanol fuel must be dispensed from either a gravity flow or <br />vacuum flow pump. <br />• Only non - cellulose materials (fruits, grains, and vegetables) can be used <br />to produce ethanol. <br />E. Distillery: Fuel production operations must be located inside a secure <br />structure. <br />F. Storage: <br />• The maximum storage container size is fifty five (55) gallons. <br />• The aggregate volume of ethanol fuel stored at any time on the property <br />shall not exceed fifty five (55) gallons. <br />• Acceptable storage container materials include aluminum, steel, <br />fluorinated polyethylene, fluorinated polypropylene, teflon and other <br />similar durable, noncorrosive materials.
