STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />COUNTY OF CABARRUS <br />AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT <br />THIS AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT ( "Amendment ") is made and entered into <br />as of the I I day of February, 2011 by and between CABARRUS COUNTY (the <br />"County ") and GENESIS ... A NEW BEGINNING, INC. dba GENESIS... A NEW <br />BEGINNING COUNSELING SERVICES ( "Genesis "). <br />PREMISES <br />1. As of July 1, 2011, the parties entered into an agreement (the "Contract ") for <br />the provisions of services by Genesis to the County incident to the Criminal Justice <br />Partnership Program (the "Program "). <br />2. The Contract collectively in Paragraph 7 and Paragraph VII provided that <br />Genesis maintain certain insurance policies in force to provide coverage for its work and <br />potential liability pursuant to the Contract and the Program. <br />3. The parties wish to amend these provisions to the Contract to clarify the <br />terms of such provisions. <br />In consideration of the above foregoing Premises and the Terms contained below, <br />which the parties agree constitute sufficient consideration to support this Amendment, the <br />parties agree as follows. <br />TERMS <br />1. Paragraph 7 of the Contract (under the "Standard Contract" section) is <br />hereby amended to add "Professional Liability" as a type of Coverage required to be <br />maintained by Genesis pursuant to the Contract. The Minimum Limits of Coverage shall <br />be the amount of coverage Genesis has in force as of March 1, 2011. All other provisions <br />of Paragraph 7, including but not limited to the requirements that the County be provided <br />a certificate of insurance for this coverage and that the County be named as a Additional <br />Insured, shall apply to the Professional Liability Coverage. <br />2. Paragraph VII is deleted in its entirety. <br />3. Except as specifically amended, the provisions of the Contract remain in full <br />force and effect. <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -4 Page 63 <br />
