WOODSON
UNIVERSITY
May 6, 2011
H. Jay White, Sr.
Chairman, Cabarrus County Commissioners
P.O. Box 707
Concord, NC 28026
Chairman White:
It is with great pleasure that Woodson University officially submits its bid of $10,000 for the
purchase of the Old Bethel School property located in Midland, North Carolina. Inside this package
you will be privy to projections and anticipated plans for the renovation and restoration of the site in
questions.
We have identified a private partner who will provide the necessary capital for all of the
necessary renovations to the facility. We have conducted several meetings with community
representatives within both the Town of Midland and Cabarrus County regarding this project. Our
purpose is to convert the property into a civic and educational campus. A campus where there is
multipurpose space available for community events, computer technology laboratories, a community
library, an educational institution (both life -long education and collegiate), as well as athletic facilities
that will benefit the entire southeastern region of our county.
It is our desire to ensure our community has access and success in the field of education, and
have access to quality facilities to ensure success.
Respect Dr. °-°°°
President, Woodson University
Attachment number 6
E -1 Page 49
