CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />��8�a ��i ►� JUNE 2 0 9 20 <br />`�iri�JJ1 /J� <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments - Transportation Advisory Board <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Several appointments or reappointments are needed on the <br />Transportation Advisory Board for terms ending June 30. <br />Mr. Jerry Mingo represents the "visually impaired" community, but does <br />not wish to be considered for reappointment. His service on the Advisory <br />Board began in 1998. <br />To reflect the actual agencies represented by the attendees, it is <br />requested that the "retired" position be reclassified as "law enforcement" <br />and that "Lifespan" be reclassified as "citizen advocate /retired ". Note: <br />Lifespan is no longer in operation. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the reclassifications to the agency representation as <br />set forth above. <br />Motion to reappoint Vicki Proctor to the TAB as the "citizen <br />advocate /retired" position, Jodi Ramirez as the "law enforcement" <br />representative, and Daniel Payne (County Schools) and Patricia Baker <br />(DSS) for 3 -year terms ending June 30, 2014; including an exception to <br />the "residency" provision of the Appointment Policy for Ms. Baker and an <br />exception to the "length of service" provision for Ms. Baker and Mr. Payne. <br />Motion to remove Mr. Mingo from the TAB roster and commend him for <br />his many years of dedicated service. <br />H -9 Page 331 <br />
