CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />1� <br />p TBcA�a 11i JULY 18 20 <br />��fiiffJfl /�� <br />1 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />FPC - Approval of Locally Grown Logo Licensing Agreement <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Food Policy Council has developed licensing agreements to govern <br />the use of the Locally Grown, Cabarrus County Local Food Logo by <br />business in four categories: Producers, Processors, Handlers and <br />Tailgate Markets. The purpose of these licensing agreements is to ensure <br />that businesses using the logo uphold a certain standard and therefore <br />appropriately represent the spirit and intent of the Locally Grown logo and <br />its campaign to promote Cabarrus County agriculture. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to adopt the FPC Locally Grown Logo Licensing Agreement <br />subject to review and revision by the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Aaron Newton, Local Food System Program Coordinator <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS /COMMENTS: <br />This item was approved by the Board for inclusion on the Agenda as a <br />Consent item. <br />F -5 Page 89 <br />
