CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* REGULAR MEETING <br />��8�a ��i ►� AUGUST 15 20 <br />`�iri�JJ1 /J� <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />DSS - Proclamation Proclaiming September as Child Support Awareness <br />Month <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Child Support Services Division of the Department of Social Services <br />(DSS) will be recognizing the month of September, 2011, as Child <br />Support Awareness Month. An informational news piece will be submitted <br />to Communications and Outreach for local release including local and <br />state child support statistics and basic service information. Copies of this <br />same information will be provided to the DSS partners in promotion of <br />awareness of our services that can be shared with their clients. A Child <br />Support informational services video is currently in the preparation stage <br />initiated by Judge Marty McGee with the Child Support Supervisor and is <br />to be filmed and produced by Channel 22 on Aug 29, 2011. Upon <br />completion, it will be shown on Channel 22 and available on YouTube. <br />September will also be a public awareness effort.
