CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />p �H�a 1r� SEPTEMB <br />`�iri�JJ1 /J� <br />6: 30 P .M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />County Manager - Maintenance and Repair Agreement with Cabarrus <br />County and Kannapolis City Schools <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Cabarrus County funds both Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City <br />Schools for the purpose of maintenance and repairs to both their facilities <br />and grounds. This agreement also includes general maintenance and <br />repairs to school park facilities at both school district sites. The funding <br />providing by the County for these operations are monitored by the <br />agreement attached and a quarterly report is sent to the County per the <br />agreement to the County Manager and to the Superintendents. At the end <br />of each fiscal year, unspent funds shall be reserved for subsequent years' <br />budget and shall only be spent for each respective purpose, unless <br />otherwise agreed by the parties. This agreement is for a term of three <br />years, commencing July 1, 2011, and terminating June 30, 2014. The <br />parties agree to meet no less than sixty days prior to the end of the term <br />to discuss an extension of the term, but this provision creates no <br />obligation to extend the term. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the contract between Cabarrus County and Cabarrus <br />County and Kannapolis City Schools; and authorize the County Manager <br />to execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County, subject to review or <br />revisions by the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />F -2 Page 48 <br />
