Recommendation of PSSI for Fire Study
The selection committee recommends Public Safety Solutions Inc. (PSSI) based on several factors,
inclusive of the fact that PSSI conducted research of the county prior their interview. PSSI
representatives were well prepared with a comprehensive overview of the company and their 8 step
approach in conducting a fire study. PSSI has extensive experience performing studies for counties with
a volunteer fire service similar to Cabarrus County. PSSI has conducted studies in North Carolina, and
have team members that live in North Carolina that are familiar with the NC Department of Insurance
and State Fire Marshal's Office requirements for fire departments in this state.
The company was able to provide direct answers to questions from the selection committee, PSSI
representatives showed a keen attention to detail as they the only company that incorporated our
scope and outcomes into their RFQ. PSSI has a local representative in Union County and understands
the uniqueness of our fire districts and the area. PSSI has a full -time GIS analyst on staff that will
enhance their ability to perform an effective study and provide a study format that can be easily
analyzed and utilized.
The selection committee unanimously recommends PSSI for this project.
Attachment number 1
F -4 Page 65
