Partner -in- Charge, Sales and Use Tax Group <br />Role on Engagement: Engagement Partner <br />High Point, North Carolina <br />Licenses and Certifications Industry Experience <br />■ NC LIC #17737 <br />Tony Flinchum joined Dixon Hughes Goodman in 1994 to oversee the <br />firm's Sales and Use Tax Services Group. He has extensive experience <br />in North Carolina state and local tax laws and has procured sales and <br />use tax refunds for over 300 clients. Prior to joining the firm, Tony was <br />employed with the North Carolina Department of Revenue and was <br />promoted to Field Auditor II in 1991 in the Greensboro Field Audit <br />Office. <br />During his 11 years with the North Carolina Department of Revenue, <br />Tony concentrated in the area of sales and use tax. He ensured <br />compliance with revenue laws by employing professional auditing <br />principles and practices in examination of company records and tax <br />reports. He served as auditor -in- charge on complex audits and <br />conferred with company officials on various tax matters during <br />investigations. Since then he has spent the last 16 years applying those <br />same principles to determine if companies have overpaid their sales <br />and use tax.
