At that time, the NC State Bureau of Investigation stepped in and continued the funds for
cleanup efforts. Unfortunately, the NCSBI can no longer afford to pay for this important service, and the
costs of the cleanup now is being placed with local municipalities and counties.
Contaminant Control, Inc. (CCI) understands the burden this is going to cause local jurisdictions such as
yours. In an effort to assist your department, CCI would like to offer you this proposed Scope of Work and
associated fee schedule for your consideration.
Scope of Work
CCI shall provide response services 24/7 from our Kannapolis, NC office to incidents involving the cleanup
and recovery of Methamphetamine (meth) Labs in your community. CCI maintains a fully equipped response
unit dedicated to meth lab emergencies. When notified by your office, a CCI Project Manager will ascertain
the type of lab, its location and provide an estimated time of arrival with responder's contact information.
Upon arrival, the project manager will respond to your on -site representative and assigned SBI agent for
instructions. All materials will be identified, segregated and packaged (lab- packs) according to CCI standard
operating guidelines. All lab- packed materials will be labeled and marked according to all applicable
requirements prior to transporting. All associated paperwork such as manifests, material LDRs and packing
lists shall be completed on -site before being released. Copies of all initiated paperwork will be provided for
your representative. All waste generated shall be transported back to Chase Environmental's secured (alarm
monitored and dedicated storage) facility in Dunn, NC. All collected hazardous waste will then be transported
within seven days to an EPA approved disposal company.
Additional information
All personnel responding shall be 40 hr. Hazwoper trained with in -house training consisting of
meth lab response protocols and procedures.
All personnel responding are participants in COI's Medical Surveillance Program.
Attachment number 1
G -3 Page 113
