Mission: The Charlotte Regional Partnership is a nonprofit, public / private economic development organization <br />dedicated to the growth and prosperity of Charlotte USA - a region of 2.6 million people located in North and South <br />Carolina. Our purpose is to allocate and leverage regional economic development resources to sustain and enhance <br />the economic growth, vitality, and global competitiveness of the Charlotte region as a superior business location. <br />ROI: This Return on Investment Report details our activities during the previous fiscal year, highlighting collaborative <br />efforts with member organizations and key services rendered that are unmatched by similar economic development <br />organizations nationwide. <br />Project Activity: Bringing Opportunity to Charlotte USA <br />The CRP had a goal of generating 100 qualified projects for the 2010 -2011 fiscal year. <br />We generated 77 projects putting us at 77% of our goal. "Qualified projects" are de- <br />fined as those projects with a specific time line <br />and distinct project criteria. The CRP hosted <br />29 initial site visits to the region between July <br />'10 and Jun'11 which is 58% of our target goal <br />of 50. While many companies repeatedly visit <br />the region during the site selection process, for <br />tracking purposes, only the first visit is counted. <br />Manufacturing continues to generate the most <br />projects of any industry with 48 or 63% of our <br />qualified projects.
