CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF • • <br />* <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 17, 2011 <br />`�iri�JJ1 /J� <br />1 <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Board of Elections (Corban Ave.) <br />Architectural /Engineering Firm <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Demolition - Selection of <br />A request for Qualifications (RFQ) for architectural and engineering <br />services was posted on March 2011 for the demolition of the Board of <br />Elections located on Corban Avenue. Four (4) qualification packages <br />were submitted and were reviewed by the internal selection committee <br />comprised of County employees. Upon review of the RFQ submissions, <br />Griffin Architecture, P.A. was the selected architectural firm. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to select Griffin Architecture, P.A. as the architect for the Board of <br />Elections (Corban Avenue) demolition and authorize the County Manager <br />and County Attorney to negotiate a contract on behalf of the Board. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Kyle Bilafer, General Services Director <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS /COMMENTS: <br />This item was approved by the Board for inclusion on the Agenda as a <br />G -2 Page 107 <br />
