CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />JANUARY 19, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Sheriff's Dept. -Request Approval to <br />Cabarrus Co. 911 System to Lease <br />Concord and Kannapolis <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Use 911 Funds for Expansion of the <br />PSAP Positions Located at City of <br />The expansion of the Cabarrus 911 system to include positions located at <br />the City of Concord and Kannapolis will provide a geographically disperse <br />system allowing: leverage use of the County's existing Positron Viper <br />system, roll over between physical sites during high call volume, and back <br />up positions. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to authorize use of 911 funds for expansion of the Cabarrus <br />County 911 system to replace positions located at Concord and <br />Kannapolis. <br />Motion to approve the Lease Agreement between Cabarrus County and <br />Ontario Investments for the lease of additional positions to be located at <br />Concord and Kannapolis, contingent upon the execution of Interlocal <br />Agreements with both cities and approval by the North Carolina 911 <br />Board.. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Ray Gilleland, Sheriff's Department <br />Todd Shanley, ITS <br />F-6 Page 150 <br />
