CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 15, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments -Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />At the Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board's December 29, <br />2009 meeting, Revella Nesbit (Mental Health/Ex Officio), Karen <br />King (Substance Abuse) and Sally Coleman (Victim Services) were <br />recommended for reappointment for additional 3-year terms. An <br />exception to the Appointment Policy (residency provision) is needed for <br />Ms. Nesbit and Ms. King. Ms. Nesbit also serves on the JCPC (Juvenile <br />Crime Prevention Council); therefore another exception to the <br />Appointment Policy (multiple service provision) is needed for her. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to reappoint Revella Nesbit (Mental Health/Ex Officio), Karen <br />King (Substance Abuse) and Sally Coleman (Victim Services) for 3-year <br />terms ending February 28, 2013, including the aforementioned exceptions <br />to the Appointment Policy. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />1 Minute <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Cynthia Young, Deputy Clerk to the Board <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />Fi-4 Page 144 <br />
