L <br />1 <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION OF COUNTY BOUNDARIES COMMON <br />WITH THE COUNTIES OF CABARRUS AND UNION <br />L <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS the North Carolina Geodetic Survey has been designated and funded by the North <br />Carolina General Assembly to assist with the resurvey of ambiguous or uncertain county boundaries <br />pursuant to GS 153A-18; and, <br />WHEREAS The North Carolina Geodetic Survey has resurveyed a part of the Cabarrus and <br />Union County lines; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1994, 1997, and 1999 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners requested <br />the assistance of the North Carolina Geodetic Survey (NCGS) to survey and help establish the location of <br />all county lines common with adjacent counties pursuant to GS 153A-18; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to GS 153A-18, a special commissioner must be appointed by each county <br />to supervise the surveying, marking, mapping, and to act as a liaison between Cabarrus County and the <br />NCGS; and <br />WHEREAS, Ted Cisine, Special Boundary Commissioner for Cabarrus County has terminated <br />his employment with Cabarrus County and turned over all materials relevant to the county boundary to <br />Greg Belk, Land Records Manager for Cabarrus County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does <br />hereby accept the County lines as shown on the plat entitled "County Boundary Re-survey Plat For: THE <br />CABARRUS-UNION COUNTY LINE, Cabarrus County & Union County, North Carolina," and dated May <br />20, 2009, as being the true boundary between the Counties; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners authorize Greg <br />Belk, in replacement of Ted Cisine, to commission the survey of the boundary between Union, Stanly, <br />Rowan, and Cabarrus Counties. <br />Adopted this the 15th day of February, 2010. <br />H.
