PROCLAMATION <br />PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATORS WEEK <br />WHEREAS, the services and functions performed by Cabarrus County's 911 <br />telecommunicators are critical to the safety and welfare of the citizens of Cabarrus <br />County, and <br />WHEREAS public safety telecommunicators provide 24 hour a day service as the <br />vital link in the chain of emergency services providers, and <br />WHEREAS these dedicated professional are the initial point of contact for <br />citizens in crisis situations who need emergency services assistance. In answering the <br />public's daily cries for help, they are often instrumental in saving lives and reducing <br />property damage when tragedy strikes; <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners do hereby <br />proclaim April 11-17, 2010 as "Public Safety Telecommunicator's Week" in Cabarrus <br />County, and urge our citizens to acknowledge the contributions of these loyal public <br />servants. <br />Adopted this the 15th day of March, 2010. <br />H.
