CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Transportation -North Carolina Department of Transportation -Public <br />Transportation Division (NCDOT) Section 5311 Grant for the Fiscal Year <br />2010-2011 -Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Cabarrus County Transportation Department plans to apply for <br />transportation funding through the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation-Public Transportation Division (NCDOT-PTD) for funding <br />provided by the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) Section 5311 <br />Grant for the FY 2010-2011 totaling $401,020. The grant funds must be <br />designated for administrative and capital costs associated with Cabarrus <br />County Transportation Services (CCTS). A public hearing on the grant <br />request is required in addition to a 15 percent match of the administrative <br />grant award and a 10 percent match for a capital grant award. Please <br />note that no capital funds are being requested at this time.
