CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />BOC -Resolution Relating to the Amendment of Existing Consent <br />Agreements to Allow Rendering of Voluntary Mitigation Payments (VMP) <br />at Building Permitting for Lots Which No VMP Has Been Made <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />At its planning retreat, the Board discussed the impact of the recession on <br />the home building industry as well as potential measures available to the <br />county to assist affected companies. One such measure is the <br />amendment of existing consent agreements to allow for the rendering of <br />voluntary mitigation payments (VMP) at the time of building permitting for <br />those lots for which no VMP has already been made.
