CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MARCH 15, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments -Criminal Justice Partnership Program (CJPP) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The terms of appointments end April 30, 2010 for the following CJPP <br />members: David Calloway (Probation/Parole), Jodi Ramirez (Community- <br />based Agency), June Menig (Community Service Coordinator), Susan <br />Schneider (Victim of Crime), Anna H. Hood (At-large), Michael G. Knox <br />(District Court Judge), H. Jay White, Sr. (County Commissioner), W. Erwin <br />Spainhour (Judge of Superior Court), Tom Barcellona (District <br />Attorney/Designee), and Benjamin S. Small (Criminal Defense Attorney). <br />The Advisory Board recommends reappointments for the aforementioned <br />individuals with the exceptions: June Menig (declined to serve due to <br />retirement) and Anna Hood (who is ineligible for reappointment due to her <br />length of service). <br />An exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy <br />is needed for W. Erwin Spainhour. An exception to the "service on <br />multiple boards" is needed for Jodi Ramirez and Michael G. Knox. <br />The CJPP recommends the appointment of Mark Antoszyk to fill the At- <br />large position being vacated by Anna H. Hood. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to reappoint David Calloway (Probation/Parole), Jodi Ramirez <br />(Community-based Agency), Susan Schneider (Victim of Crime), Michael <br />G. Knox (District Court Judge), H. Jay White, Sr. (County Commissioner), <br />W. Erwin Spainhour (Judge of Superior Court), Tom Barcellona (District <br />Attorney/Designee), and Benjamin S.
