Ordinance No. 2010 <br />Ordinance Amending <br />CABARRUS COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />Chapter 14, Article II -Section 14-30 <br />Permits and Inspections <br />BE IT ORDAINED that Chapter 14, Article II -Section 14-30, of the Code of <br />Ordinances, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, is hereby amended as follows: <br />ARTICLE II. <br />PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS <br />Sec. 14-30 Additional Permit Restrictions <br />Delete the following from Additional Permit Restrictions (Item D): <br />Testing of unlicensed applicant for work on personal residence. Whenever any person <br />who is not a licensed contractor applies for a permit for any plumbing, electrical, heating <br />or cooling work on his own personal residence, the applicant shall be given a test by a <br />tester designated by the public safety services department. The test may be written or <br />oral at the discretion of the tester. A person may take the test more than one time. If <br />the test shows that the person is capable of performing the work for which the permit is <br />sought and shows that the applicant is knowledgeable of the state and local building <br />codes, the application will be considered in the same manner as any other application <br />for a building permit. <br />Adopted this the 21St day of June, 2010 by the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />H.
