CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 16, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Register of Deeds - Redaction Services Agreement <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Section 3 of NCGS 132 -1.10 (f1) was amended to allow Register of <br />Deeds to remove driver license and social security numbers from an <br />image on a Register of Deeds web site available to the general public, <br />effective October 1, 2009. Logan Systems will redact these two numbers <br />from January 1, 1935 through May 31, 2010 for a fee of $145,774.86. <br />Logan Systems will redact day forward beginning with June 1, 2010 at no <br />charge. Monies from the Register of Deeds Automation Enhancement & <br />Preservation Fund will be used for this expense. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the Redaction Services Agreement between Logan <br />Systems Inc. and Cabarrus County, subject to review and or revision by <br />the County Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Linda F.
