CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointment - Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee <br />( APPAC) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />At their September 1 st meeting, the APPAC voted to recommend the <br />following citizens for appointment to the recently expanded Committee: <br />Marsha Hahn (Cabarrus CARES) to fill the unexpired term of Patsy <br />Beeker; Ann Cannon (Cabarrus Pets Society); Jeff Daniels (Justice for <br />Bella); Mike Sims (At Large); and Elizabeth Stamey (At Large). <br />The Committee also recommends that the "Justice for Bella" seat be <br />converted to an "at large" seat. <br />Note: As of September 14th, an application from Jeff Daniels has not <br />been received. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to appoint Marsha Hahn (Cabarrus CARES) to the APPAC to <br />complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2012; to appoint Ann <br />Cannon (Cabarrus Pets Society) for a one -year term ending June 30, <br />2011; to appoint Mike Sims (At Large) for a one -year term ending June <br />30, 2011; to appoint Elizabeth Stamey (At Large) for a two -year term <br />ending June 30, 2012. <br />Consider a motion to convert the "Justice for Bella" seat to an "at- large" <br />seat and to appoint a representative for a two -year term ending June 30, <br />2012. <br />Page 380 <br />H -1 <br />
