CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 18, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce - Harris Road Greenway Easement <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Board of Commissioners previously granted the City of Concord <br />permission to explore the concept of a greenway on the County property <br />that includes Odell Elementary and Harris Road Middle schools. The City <br />has completed preliminary routing and would like to proceed with the <br />greenway. They have presented the attached easement for this purpose. <br />It has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Education. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the easement document between Cabarrus County and <br />authorize the County Attorney and Chairman of the Board of <br />Commissioners to execute the document. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
