The ILS must provide an automated method to alert patrons to ✓ <br />available holds and /or overdue items via telephone. <br />Vendor to highlight Telephone Notification strengths it feels its ILS has for the library. (Insert <br />sheets as required) <br />TLC: We offer two notification systems — one is outbound only and low cost, the other is much <br />more sophisticated allowing extensive inbound functionality at a higher price. The system allows <br />patrons to specify which notices should be delivered by mail, email, and telephone. <br />1. The ILS must have an icon -based PAC for children with icons and <br />pre- configured searches on interest to children developed by library <br />✓ <br />professionals. <br />2. The Children's PAC must support the display of specialized <br />✓ <br />bibliographies such as Suggested Summer Reading. <br />3. These searches and bibliographies must be assigned appropriate <br />✓ <br />icons that, when selected, display search results automatically <br />4. The Children's PAC must have full PAC capabilities and be fully <br />✓ <br />integrated with other subsystems. <br />Vendor to highlight Children's PAC strengths it feels its ILS has for the library. (Insert sheets as <br />required) <br />TLC: LS2 Kids is the child - friendly version of TLC's successful LS2 OPAC. TLC believes your <br />youngest patrons should be encouraged and inspired to use your computers to find books as <br />early as possible. LS2 Kids goes way beyond simple icon searching. It has been designed with <br />the input of children. LS2 Kids is fun, interactive and useful. It uses more advanced technology, <br />simplified searching and simplified search results. <br />LS2Kids is based on the principle of being more inclusive. With this system your youngest <br />patrons need not wait until they are older to be involved in library activities. <br />Book jacket cover art is included. Searching includes icon based searching, series searching, <br />and typing in a search box.
