CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTO B E R 18, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Aging - Title V Additional Grant Funds to Establish (13) New Temporary <br />Positions and Related Budget Amendment - $132,182 <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Title V funding is included in the State recurring budget and is anticipated to <br />be available in FY2012 as well. The required local match (10 %) is met <br />through in -kind expenses that are currently included in the Dept. of Aging <br />FY'2011 budget and requires no additional County funds in order to accept <br />these grant funds. This increase of $132,182 will fund thirteen (13) new <br />temporary part -time positions and provide a 32% increase in Title V - SCSEP <br />services for Cabarrus County. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to accept grant award, adopt budget amendment, approve contract <br />and authorize the County Manager to sign it, and the establishment of thirteen <br />(13) new temporary part -time Title V - SCSEP positions. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Michael L.
