Critical Facilities. <br />1. Critical facilities include those facilities that are necessary in the daily operation of a <br />community and those that might be hazardous to a community. Certain critical facilities <br />are vital to the response and recovery efforts in the wake of a disaster resulting from a <br />natural or technological hazard. These include fire and rescue facilities, schools, <br />hospitals, major thoroughfares and communication facilities. Cabarrus County has an <br />extensive inventory of critical facilities as indicated in Table B -2 and shown on Map B -1. <br />A map of these critical facilities is stored and maintained on file in the offices of the <br />Cabarrus County Emergency Management Department.
