RESOLUTION <br />ESTABLISHING THE REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE <br />FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2011 <br />WHEREAS, the regular agenda work sessions of the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners are held on the <br />first Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose <br />Room at the Governmental Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the regular meetings of the Board of Commissioners are held on the <br />third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the <br />Governmental Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday requires a change in the regular <br />meeting date in January 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, the Independence Day and the Labor Day holidays requires a <br />change in the agenda work session meeting dates in July and September 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board holds an annual goal- setting /planning retreat in the winter <br />which is set for January 28 -29 at Camp T.N. Spencer; and <br />WHEREAS, budget workshops are held annually and are scheduled for May 24, <br />25 and 26, 2011 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the <br />Governmental Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board may attend the following conferences /gatherings and <br />desires to give the public ample notice: <br />NCACC Legislative Goals Conference in Raleigh on January 20 -21, 2011; <br />NACo Legislative Conference in Washington, DC on March 5 -9, 2011; <br />NCACC County Assembly Day /Legislative Reception in Raleigh on (TBD); <br />NACo Annual Conference in Portland, OR on July 15 -19, 2011; <br />NCACC Annual Conference in Concord, NC on August 18 -21, 2011. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A- 40(a), does hereby: <br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to meet at <br />3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center on the <br />following dates: <br />January 3, 2011 <br />July 5, 2011 (Tuesday) <br />February 7, 2011 <br />August 1, 2011 <br />March 7, 2011 <br />September 6, 2011 (Tuesday) <br />April 4, 2011 <br />October 3, 2011 <br />May 2, 2011 <br />November 7, 2011 <br />June 6, 2011 <br />December 5, 2011 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />F -2 Page 35 <br />
