CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 20, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce - Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for Harrisburg Area Land Use <br />Plan Update <br />I 10I4;& 1 V 1LVILy,EWA <br />An Inter -Local Agreement has been negotiated between Cabarrus County <br />and the Town of Harrisburg in relation to the Harrisburg Area Land Use <br />Plan Update. This agreement delays utility extensions in the south <br />eastern quadrant of the land use planning area in the future. Area 2 is <br />delayed for a minimum of 3 years and Area 1 is delayed for a minimum of <br />5 years. The Town of Harrisburg adopted the agreement on November <br />8th. The effective date of the agreement is December 31, 2010. The <br />agreement will be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds. The <br />agreement is included for reference. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the Interlocal Agreement between the Town of <br />Harrisburg and Cabarrus County for the Harrisburg Area Land Use Plan <br />Update as presented. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager <br />Rich Koch, County Attorney <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />F -4 Page 41 <br />
