Major <br />employers and employment trends by industry for Cabarrus County are analyzed. Employee <br />inflow /outflow in the Planning Area is shown for 2009. <br />4.1 Cabarrus County Employment <br />4.1.1 Major Employers <br />As shown in Table 5, two of the three largest Cabarrus County employers, Northeast Medical <br />Center and Connextions, are categorized under the Healthcare employment sector. Education and Health Services had the most employees in 2008 <br />(15,163), an increase of 32.5% since 2002. Leisure and Hospitality Services experienced the <br />largest percent increase of 49.4% over the six -year period.
