October 28, 2010 <br />Mr. Doug Hoell, Director <br />North Carolina Division of Emergency Management <br />4713 Mail Service Center <br />Raleigh, North Carolina 27699 <br />Attention: Mr. Chris Crew <br />Reference: Multi jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan Update: Cabarrus County, North Carolina <br />Dear Mr. Hoell: <br />This is to confirm that we have completed a Federal /State review of the Cabarrus County Multi - <br />jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for compliance with the federal hazard mitigation planning <br />standards contained in 44 CFR 201.6(b) -(d). Based on our review and comments, Cabarrus County <br />developed and submitted all the necessary revisions. Our staff has reviewed and approved these revisions. <br />We have determined that the Cabarrus County Hazard Mitigation Plan is compliant with federal <br />standards, subject to formal community adoption. <br />In order for our office to issue formal approval of the plan, Cabarrus County must submit adoption <br />documentation and document that the final public meeting occurred. Upon submittal of these items to our <br />office we will issue formal approval of the Cabarrus County Hazard Mitigation Plan. <br />For further information, please do not hesitate to contact MaryMargaret Jackson, of the Hazard Mitigation <br />Assistance Branch, at (770) 220 -5234 or Linda L.
