CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 20, 2010 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce - Planning and Zoning Commission Assignment Modifications <br />& Appointment <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Due to boundary adjustments for Cabarrus County planning areas during <br />the last two long range planning projects, Planning and Zoning <br />Commission member assignments need to be modified. The boundary <br />adjustments were required so that County long range planning areas <br />reflect the annexation and utility agreements in place between <br />jurisdictions that are utility providers. Staff requests that the Board of <br />Commissioners consider the following changes and that one new <br />Commission member be appointed. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to make the following changes to the existing Planning and Zoning <br />Commission appointments: <br />Move Mr. Barry C. Shoemaker to the Kannapolis Area position to <br />complete an unexpired term ending 8- 31 -11; <br />Move Mr. Larry Ensley to the Northwest Area position to complete an <br />unexpired term ending 8- 31 -11; <br />Move Ms. Brenda Cook to the At Large position to complete an unexpired <br />term ending 8- 31 -12. <br />Motion to appoint Mr. Rick Price to represent the Midland Planning Area <br />to complete an unexpired term ending 8- 31 -12. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />1 Minute <br />H -2 Page 674 <br />
