Cabarrus County Parks Department Proposal to reduce Discovery Day Camp Fees and Expenditures for 2009 In light of the economic downturn, the Parks Commission reviewed and approved the proposal to reduce fees for Discovery Day Camp 2009 at their January 15, 2009 meeting. If these proposed fee reductions are approved, expenses will be reduced to offset the loss in revenue. Exact figures can't be determined until participants register. Supply and rental fees will be reduced, trips will be reduced, staff hours will be reduced by not taking trips, and miscellaneous expenses will be reduced to ensure the program operates in the black or is at least a break even program.
