THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE January 23, 2009 NOTICE Of PUBLIC HEARING IOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners (the "Board") of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina (the "County"), will con- duct apublic hearing on February 16, 2009 con- cerning the execution and delivery of (a) one or more short-term Installment financing contract(s) with one or more third parties and (b) one or more long-term installment financing contract(s) with one or more third parties (collectively, the "Con- tracts") to finance all or a portion of the costs of (i) acquiring real property, (IU constructing and new mldtlle school, an atlmuon to an mentary school and an addition to an of an existing high school, (iii) var1~ foregoing and Uv) a portion ortne mceresc w ar true under the Contracts during the construction periods of the foregoing (collectively the "Proj- ects' ). The plan of financing for the Projects involves (U the entrryy by the County into one or more short- term (nstallmentfinancing contract(s) with one or more third parties who will provide the Couhty with up to E130,000,000 pursuant to the terms of the short-term installment financingg contract(s), which amounts will be used to prbvlde Interim fi- nancing for the Projects pending execution and delivery of one or more long-term financing contract(s) and (fi) the entry by the County into one or more long-term installment financing contract(s) with one or more third parties who will provide the County With up to E130,000,000 pur- suant to the terms of said one or more long-term installment financing contract(s),, which amounts will be applied to provide long-term Financing for the Projects.
