CABARRUS COUNTY <br />~Q~•- 1792 is <br />e - ~ 9~, BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />~ ,~ <br />~rN cA~:o~~` MARCH 16, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Preferred Process for the Selection of the Construction Manager-At-Risk <br />for the New County Government Office Building to be Located on <br />Cabarrus Avenue (Old Fairground Property) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The county has received six responses to the Request for Qualifications <br />for the Construction Manager-At-Risk for above noted project. They are <br />as follows: <br />BE&K Building Group <br />CM Black Construction Company, Inc. <br />Edifice General Contractors <br />GW Liles Construction Company, Inc. <br />Myers & Chapman, Inc <br />Turner Construction Company <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Direct staff on how to proceed with the selection of the firm to perform the <br />duties of the Construction Manager-At-Risk for the new government office <br />building by choosing one of the following options: <br />Option #1 -direct staff to review submittals and recommend two finalists <br />to the Board of Commissioners. <br />Option #2 -direct staff to distribute all of the submittals to the Board of <br />Commissioners for their review. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />5 Minutes <br />G-5 <br />
