<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />of two years. <br />CONCORD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />The Commission guides, reviews and regulates land developments within and around the <br />boundaries of the City of Concord. The County Commissioners appoint one member who <br />resides in Concord's extraterritorial jurisdiction area for a term of three years. <br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE PARTNERSHIP ADVISORY BOARD <br />The advisory board examines the local criminal justice system and identifies areas that could <br />be improved through local community-based programs. Members include the following: <br />County Commissioner; County Manager; Superior Court Judge, District Court Judge; District <br />Attorney; Criminal Defense Attorney; County Sheriff; City Police Chief; Probation Officer; <br />Community Service Coordinator; one member from the service areas of Mental Health, <br />Public Health, Substance Abuse, Employment and Training, Community Based Corrections <br />Program and Victim Services Program; Member of the Business Community, Victim of <br />Crime and other At Large Members. Appointments are for terms of three years. <br />HARRISBURG FIRE ADVISORY BOARD <br />' The Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board advises the Town Council, Town Administrator and the <br />Fire Chief on matters of policy, administration and operations. The board tracks the <br />progress of the Harrisburg Fire Department's key objectives as outlined in the annual report, <br />' reviews the Department's By-Laws on an annual basis, and recommends changes to the <br />Town Council for final approval. <br />' HARRISBURG PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD <br />This board reviews, regulates development within and around the boundaries of the Town of <br />Harrisburg and hears and decides on appeals of zoning within the Town's jurisdiction. The <br />' County Commissioners appoint one person who resides in the extraterritorial jurisdiction of <br />the Town to serve for a term of three years. <br />HOME AND COMMUNITY CARE BLOCK GRANT ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />' This advisory committee assists the Department of Aging with the development of the <br />County Aging Funding Plan through the Home and Community Care Block Grant for Older <br />Adults. The committee is composed of potential public and private providers of aging <br />' services, elected county officials, older adults and representatives ofother aging interests in <br />the county. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES AND POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCING AUTHORITY <br />This authority provides for the issuance of revenue bonds to aid in financing (1) industrial <br />and manufacturing facilities which provide job opportunities or better ways to help alleviate <br />unemployment and raise below-average manufacturing wages and (2) pollution control <br />facilities for industries. The 7-member authority meets as needed. Appointments are for <br />terms of six years. <br />JURY COMMISSION <br />This commission is responsible for compiling the jury lists for the Courts.
