The Request for Proposals <br />(RFP) was direct mailed to three firms and was available on the website. <br />t After evaluating the proposals, staff is recommending that the Board of <br />Commissioners select the Centralina Council of Governments to <br />administer the program. Centralina administers this program in numerous <br />' other communities and has extensive experience with the regulations of <br />this program. Staff recommends making the selection contingent upon <br />t reaching a satisfactory contract to be worked out with the staff attorney. <br />The program administrator will be paid out of grant funds. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the bid award to Centralina Council of Governments <br />and authorize the County Manager to execute the contract between <br />' Cabarrus County and the Centralina Council of Governments, pending <br />approval of the FY 09/10 budget and subject to revision by the County <br />' Attorney. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />' Kelly Sifford, AICP Community Development <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />' No <br />' g _ 2 Page 66 of 199 <br />
