The <br />contract amount is for 8.75% of the Guaranteed Maximum Price to be <br />submitted by the Construction Manager At Risk at a later time. To activate <br />the contract and allow design to begin, a preliminary cost of the project <br />was established at $6,250,000 resulting in an architectural fee of <br />$534,375 with $35,000 additional reimbursable expenses. Funding for this <br />project is included in the FY 09 budget for this expense. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to authorize County Manager and County Attorney to execute the <br />contract between Cabarrus County and YCH Architects for services <br />related to the new Government Office building. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />Note: The final contract was not available at the time of agenda distribution. <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />COUNTY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATIONS/COMMENTS: <br />This item was approved by the Board for inclusion on the Agenda as a <br />Consent item.
