The Cabarrus County Commissioners will select <br />and approve nominations for WDB members based on the slate of nominations presented <br />by the appropriate agencies and organizations listed under "General Information" and <br />"Membership". Each WDB member is appointed to serve atwo-year term. Upon approval <br />by the county commissioners, individuals may be reappointed. <br />Pat Woods Education 06/30/2009 <br />Tom Goedeke Organized Labor 06/30/2009 <br />(Appointed July 2008) <br />Bob VanGorden* Private Sector 06/30/2010 <br />Phil Geissinger Private Sector 06/30/2010 <br />(Appointed July 2008) <br />* -Current Workforce Development Board Chair <br />SPECIFIC REQUESTS <br />Please obtain nominations and appoint two (2) individuals to fill the terms of July 1, 2009 <br />-June 30, 2011 Nominations and appointments to fill the categories of Education and <br />Organized Labor are requested. <br />Ms. Pat Woods is eligible for reappointment as the Education representative. Ms. Woods <br />is an excellent Board member and serves on the Board's regional Youth Council. Her <br />expertise and experience is invaluable to the Board. Pat Woods has agreed to be <br />reappointed for another 2 year term. <br />Mr. Tom Goedeke is eligible for reappointment as the Organized Labor representative. <br />Mr. Goedeke is an active member of the Board's Workforce Readiness Committee. His <br />expertise and experience (including his service on the Cabarrus Literacy Council) is also <br />invaluable to the Board.
