CABARRUS COUNTY <br />~.4.- 1`~n - r <br />`~; BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />} REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 20, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Appointments to Boards and Committees <br />SUBJECT: <br />Appointments -Transportation Advisory Board <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Ms. Kathy Kitts, Ms. Cyndi Hall, and Mr. James Polk's appointments to the <br />Transportation Advisory Board expired on June 30, 2009. It is being <br />requested that they be reappointed to serve another term. An exception <br />to the "length of service" provision of the appointment policy will be <br />needed for Mr. Polk. <br />An application has been received from Ms. Michelle Smith, who requests <br />to be appointed to fill the position left vacant by the expiration of Ms. <br />Cynthia Hubbard's term. Mr. Ron Bushey requests to be appointed to fill <br />the "Local Clergy" position. <br />Ms. Patricia Crawford has resigned from her appointment as the <br />"Cabarrus Health Alliance" appointee on the Board. Currently, there are <br />no applicants to fill this position. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to make an exception to the "length of service" provision of the <br />appointment policy and reappoint James Polk, Kathy Kitts, and Cyndi <br />Hall to the Transportation Advisory Board to complete three-year terms <br />ending June 30, 2012. <br />Motion to appoint Michelle Smith to fill the "Supported Employee" position <br />and Ron Bushey to fill the "Local Clergy" position on the Transportation <br />Advisory Board and to complete three-year terms ending June 30, 2012. <br />Motion to remove Ms. Patricia Crawford from the roster. <br />H_~ Page 613 of 627 <br />
