AGENDA CATEGORY: Recognitions and Presentations SUBJECT: Arena -Cabarrus Arena & Events Center Earns 3rd Prime Site Award BRIEF SUMMARY: The Cabarrus Arena & Events Center has once again been recognized for venue excellence by winning the Prime Site Award for the 3rd consecutive year. Voted on by booking agents, promoters, talent buyers and special event planners, the annual Prime Site Awards presented by The Facilities Media Group acknowledge genuine achievement in venue management. The Prime Site Awards recognize excellence in arenas, stadiums, theaters, performing arts centers and other venues that present a wide range of events, including concerts, family shows, theatrical shows, performances, sporting events, exhibitions and other consumer/trade events. The announcement was made in the group's publication, The Facilities SuperBook. "We are very pleased to receive the Prime Site Award again this year," said Frank Lapsley, General Manager at the Cabarrus Arena. "We strive for excellence in everything we do so it's a tremendous honor to have our high standards and creative energy recognized by so many industry professionals. We are proud to offer a high level of service, exceptional staff, quality food and beverage options, and flexible meeting spaces and are continuously upgrading our facilities and enhancing our services in order to ensure that the Cabarrus Arena remains a premier event selection. This award is for our great staff and is a testament to their dedication and hard work for the citizens of Cabarrus County." In winning the award this year, the center is in the company of such notable facilities as the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden in New York, and the RBC Center in Raleigh.
