CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 21, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />New Business <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus Health Alliance -Request to Waive Permitting, Inspection and <br />Demolition Fees Associated with Construction of the New Building for <br />CHA <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Over the years, CHA (Cabarrus Health Alliance) has waived its fee for <br />inspections related to county-owned facilities, etc. CHA has asked the <br />County to reciprocate by waiving all inspection, permitting and demolition <br />fees associated with the construction of CHA's new facility in Kannapolis. <br />It has not been the policy of the Board of Commissioners to waive such <br />fees for other agencies or governments, including the school systems. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Consider a motion to approve or deny the request by the Cabarrus Health <br />Alliance to waive all inspection, permitting and demolition fees associated <br />with the construction of CHA's new facility in Kannapolis. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />1 Minute <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Charles C.
