Memorandum <br />To: John Day, County Manager <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />From: Kalesha Kennedy, Budget & Performance Manager <br />Date: September 21, 2009 <br />Subject: Ongoing Projects Budget Amendments <br />Each year after Finance closes the books on the prior fiscal year, there are some projects that need to <br />be transitioned to the new fiscal year. Projects were not budgeted for the new year typically because <br />they were underway and anticipated to be completed before year-end. <br />The budget amendment submitted with this agenda item represents the balance of funds for the <br />following projects: <br />Aging - $47,975 <br />Grants -Balances remaining in the Living Well in NC and Family Friends Grants are being brought <br />into FY 2010. <br />Building Maintenance - $121,386.81 <br />Courthouse Coil Replacement - $48,635 <br />Carpet Replacement at Health Services - $46,097.81 <br />Board of Commissioners Chambers Lighting Upgrade - $15,000 <br />Staining for All Parks -delayed due to weather and booking of events at the parks, $11,654 <br />CIP Projects - $136,471.58 <br />Tax Software/Hardware - $33,572 <br />ITS Storage Area Networks - $40,820.85 <br />Courthouse Expansion/Relocation Study - $62,078.73 <br />Economic Development Incentives - $296,041 <br />Five projects have been identified by the Tax Office that have grant funds designated in FY 2009 that <br />could become payable in FY 2010 if the companies meet certain criteria of their agreement. <br />F-4 <br />Attachment number 1 <br />Page 114 of 362 <br />
