CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OCTOBER 19, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce - Transfer of Conservation Easement -Concord Airport <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Board of Commissioners accepted a conservation easement on <br />Concord Airport property on March 15, 1999. At that time, it was <br />contemplated that the County would, in the future, transfer that easement <br />to an organization charged with holding and monitoring conservation <br />properties. The Cabarrus County Soil and Water Conservation District is a <br />designated agency for holding these easements and the County proposes <br />that this conservation easement be transferred to the District. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the transfer of the conservation easement to the <br />Cabarrus County Soil and Water Conservation District with authorization <br />for the County Attorney to complete the necessary documents and the <br />County Manager to execute them. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
