CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance -Correction of Property Easement for AT Allen Replacement <br />Elementary School (Norris Barringer $6,213.60) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Due to an oversight, the $5,786.40 requested by the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Education for the Construction and Utility Easement for Norris <br />Barringer and approved by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />on October 19, 2009, is incorrect. The correct amount of the easement <br />is $12,000. It is requested that the difference of $6,213.60 be approved <br />to correct the error. The Board of Education is scheduled to approve <br />this amount at its November 9, 2009 meeting and requests the <br />Commissioners approve the additional payment out of the AT Allen <br />Replacement Elementary School land budget. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to approve the additional payment of $6,213.60 for a property <br />easement between the Cabarrus County Board of Education and the <br />landowner, Norris Barringer, subject to approval by the Board of <br />Education. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Len Witke, Cabarrus County Schools <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT REQUIRED: <br />No <br />F-5 Page 58 <br />
