CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 21, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce -Morehead Road Memorandum of Understanding <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The General Counsel for Lowes Motor Speedway (LMS), Chris Kouri, has <br />submitted a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to the County for <br />review. The MOU is between Charlotte Motor Speedway LLC and NC <br />DOT, but includes a recitation in Section III of the role of the County in <br />right-of-way abandonment. LMS has asked the County review this section <br />and indicate agreement with the terms. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Review Section III of the MOU and consider agreement with terms of that <br />section. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
