CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 21, 2009 <br />6:30 P.M. <br />AGENDA CATEGORY: <br />Consent Agenda <br />SUBJECT: <br />Commerce -Proposed Rocky River Greenway at Harris Road Middle <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />The Concord Parks and Recreation Department is working on a greenway <br />plan for the section of the Rocky River between NC 73 and Harris Road. <br />This includes property owned by the County where Harris Road Middle <br />and Odell Elementary were constructed. Their Deputy Director, Mark <br />Kincaid, would like to present the greenway plan to the Board and gauge <br />interest in the County providing an easement for this purpose. They will <br />also be presenting this information to the Board of Education. <br />REQUESTED ACTION: <br />Motion to authorize Concord to access the property and continue <br />planning. <br />EXPECTED LENGTH OF PRESENTATION: <br />SUBMITTED BY: <br />Jonathan B.
