Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Joni Juba with a second by John Mills to increase the"'Salaries" <br />expense line item by $9,000. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by John Mills with a second by Joni Juba to increase the "Legal" expense <br />line item by $6,000. Motion carried. <br />A motion was made by Joni Juba with a second by Rick Fedrizzi to create a line item under <br />capital improvements call "Welcome Center Development" in the amount of $39,792. Motion <br />carried. <br />A motion was made by John Mills with a second by Joni Juba to increase the "Advertising" <br />expense line item by $45,000. Motion carried. <br />DeSales Wagster introduced Mike Bogucki of Paradigm Economics. He presented a study <br />"Amateur Sports Facilities and Programs Assessment Update" focusing on where Cabarrus <br />County CVB has been, is now, and should be going in the sports marketing industry. <br />Management Report <br />DeSales Wagster presented the management report with the following highlights: <br />The hotel occupancy tax is continuing to meet projections. <br />Second quarter bonuses have been given to staff meeting metric goals. <br />The CVB has met with Lowe's Motor Speedway to discuss partnering opportunities with <br />the new drag strip. <br />AdJourn <br />At 9:20am motion was made by John Mills with a second by Joni Juba to adjourn.
