CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br />Meeting Date 3/24/08 Agenda Item # F_q <br />SUBJECT: <br />Finance Department -Ambulance Receivables Write-off - ($769,121.29) <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />Article 9A (44-51.4) provides for the County to treat the amount due for ambulance <br />services the same as if it were a tax due to the county (G.S. 105-368). The County plans <br />to keep three years of receivables plus the current year's receivables on the General <br />Ledger. This policy will allow the outstanding receivable balance of $354,314.38 for Fiscal <br />Year 2003 and $414,806.91 for Fiscal Year 2004 bills to be written off.
